The Deposition

What is a deposition ? A deposition is the written testimony of a witness taking out of court, or other hearing proceedings.

A deposition is taken under oath before a notary public or other legally authorized person's . It is intended to be used at the trial or hearing of a civil action or criminal prosecution.. It is generally, a collection of questions provided by either an attorney or judge. The written testimony

or deposition must be signed by the witness and sworn to in the presence of a notary public. The testifying witness is subject to cross-examination by the opposing party.
