Have you been to the dental room or operating room in the hospital? The lamps they used are different. The halogen lamp, CFL, and LED are common lamps in the household. In medical and dental facilities, they are using scientific lighting called Deuterium Lamps. 

Most of us are familiar with CFL or Compact Fluorescent Lamps and we are using CFL lamp because it is energy efficient and cost-effective. There are other types of lamps such as sealed beam lamps, aviation lamps, railroad and railway lamps, ultraviolet lamps and many more.



 

Light Bulbs

I just bought new light bulbs for our new condo and I was amazed how many kinds of light bulbs we have now. There are many different types of light bulbs and they were all designed for a different purpose. Take for example the incandescent light bulb. It is the regular light bulb that everybody is familiar with and this type of bulb is good for most household application. It can give you light between 600-900 hours. Most people prefer the soft light of this bulb.

Then, there is the Halogen bulb which has a longer life than the normal light bulb that we normally used at home. It gives off a much brighter light. One must take some precautions when using this bulb for it will burn much hotter than the regular bulb. It may reach temperatures of up to 300 degrees so, one should be extremely careful. Never place this bulb near by any flammable materials or in a way that it would come into contact with somebody walking by. The Halogen Light Bulbs have the advantage of being efficient compared to the standard type of bulb. Its longer life would mean, savings in the bank.

There are also many different types of bulbs you can use in your home such as fluorescent or the new bulb that contains mercury or LED lighting. The choice is endless and it is really up to you as which one best fits your needs.

You are In the near future we the people of the United States will be forced to buy light bulbs made in China it's not bad enough that we have lost American jobs to this country and owe them more money than is imaginable because our present administration has gone on a sending spree. I don't know what idiot came up with this idea for a new light bulb but I can tell you they don't work. I purchased one in the supermarket the other day went home and placed it in my lamp. When it came on it was very dim and took a long time to come on and then it was not as bright as my old ones. They also say these bulbs are full of mercury if you break one you just about have to have a hazmat team to come to your house to clean up the mess. If you remember the Chinese are the ones who gave us led based paint in baby cribs now they give us mercury filled light bulbs I don't think I want to trust their workmanship on anymore products but I will leave that decision up to you. As for me I will continue to buy the regular bulbs made here in the good old USA.
