Tax Preparer

Two years ago, when my wife was bored at home, she decided to enroll in a Tax Course. She had been asking me so many questions about tax laws and family exemptions for so long. And though I provided some information about taxation in the US, she wanted to know more especially on the preparation of tax returns. She was fascinated about the tax laws of the US because according to her, tax law in this country is far better compared to her country. After the course that lasted for few months, she was so happy with her grades in fact, she got "A" equivalent. Now, she wanted to pursue it and become a tax preparer as a sideline career.

After knowing the basic knowledge of tax laws, she did our tax returns for the last two years now. It was easy to prepare with the help of software for tax preparation. She was able to file and prepare our tax papers correctly and everything went well. Every year, there is a course given to advance the skills and knowledge of a person about income tax and she took all those classes. Becoming a tax preparer is a rewarding career and she enjoyed it.

The Homestead Exemption

What is a Homestead Exemption? When you purchase a home and are using it as your primary residence in many states you qualify for a homestead exemption. In most cases this will mean a lowering of your taxes. This may also qualify you for lower tuition in state schools. You have to file for this yourself at your local County tax appraisal office. In some states such as Florida you may fill out your homestead exemption and file it online. There is generally a cutoff date that you must file by or you will lose it for one year. Be sure to contact your local tax appraisal office about this exemption as you will save a great deal of money.
