I am familiar with Toyota's Sports 800, 2000 GT and Corolla GTS in fact; we have it in the garage where I was working. The performance of these fast cars is impressive. In 1965, the first production of sports car by Toyota was Toyota Sports 800. The engine was sufficient to power at 70 km/h or 45 mph around town but, on a race track it was up to 160 km/h or 100 mph. In my generation, it was so popular. Then, the next generation of sports car the 2000 GT in 1967 which is capable of reaching 217 km/h or 135 mph. While the Corolla GTS has 112 horsepower (84 kW) @ 6600 rpm, Torque is 97 ft lbf (132 N•m) @ 4800 rpm and now, it is getting better with Scion FR-S which has 200 hp and 151 LBs Torque. Check out the info graphic posted here and see how it evolved from the older Toyota models.
Brought to you by the all new Scion FR-S
