The Astronauts of Skylab After 40 Years

Have you ever heard about Skylab? Photos below were taken at Astronauts Encounter in Kennedy Space Center here in Florida.

Recently NASA celebrated the 40th anniversary of Skylab at the Kennedy space station. My wife and I attended this celebration. There was a panel of astronauts assembled at the Kennedy Space Center , nine of them, to be exact. They discussed their experiences on Skylab to a crowd of tourist and citizens of the country.
It was very interesting to hear about their experience of living and working on Skylab, and it surely did lay the groundwork for our present space station. These men are truly heroes for what they endured. Their experiments help us go to the moon and are paving the way for future trips to Mars and beyond. These astronauts surely did a great job.

Skylab was a space station launched and operated by NASA in 1973. It was the first space station and has laid the groundwork for our present space station now operating high above the earth.
