Termination of a marriage

How is a marriage dissolved? There are two ways to extricate yourself from a marriage.
1) Divorce
2) Annulment
An order of annulment is a ruling by the court that the marriage never existed.
In a divorce it must be demonstrated that the parties have irreconcilable differences.
Most of the states have what is called a no-fault divorce. Many divorce proceedings do not go to trial there is a settlement through mediation or negotiation.

If you need any help with a no fault divorce in Florida contact me threw this site in the comments.

Application to marry

Step one : go to any circuit court clerk's office.
Step two : complete the application form.
Step three: the applicant must take an oath that the information on the application is true. This oath may be given by a notary or the court clerk.
Step four: issuing of the marriage license.

The last step is the solemnization of the marriage. In Florida this may be done by the circuit court clerk,or a notary public,or any ordained minister.

Marriage in Florida part one

Any marriage in Florida must be authorized by a Florida marriage license. This license may not be used outside the state. A license from another state is not valid in Florida. Where do you get a marriage license? The license may be obtained from the circuit court clerk in most cases. The license is void if not used within 60 days. Any person who makes false representations to secure a license or violates the law with respect to the solemnization of a marriage is subject to criminal penalties under Florida Law. Tomorrow we will cover the Application to Marry.

Notaries

Some people think that having a document notarized makes it legal do you agree? It does not. A contract signed by two people without a notary is in most cases perfectly legal. The notary will verify the identity of the person signing the documents and affirm in writing that the person signing the document is who he or she claims.

Florida Marriage

Question

Is there a waiting period between the time an application to marry is issued and the marriage ceremony?

Answer:

There are two answers to this question. If one of the parties is a resident of the state of Florida there is a three day waiting period. There will be two dates on the application to marry. One will be the date the application was issued the other the date you can marry on or after.

Answer #2

If both parties are from out of state or from different countries they may marry as soon as the application is issued. Good luck and have a nice life.
