The Philippines were hit by massive flooding not seen in forty years. The rain was drop on the islands by a tropical storm. I was watching the clips of this on Fox News. It brought back memories of Katrina. Seeing all the people walking in chest deep water. So far the count is 140 dead and many missing the toll is expected to rise once the water has receded. The U.S. has sent military personnel to help and due whatever they can and has given one hundred thousand dollars to help with the relief effort. Living in Mississippi I am familiar with tropical storms and hurricanes and my heart goes out to these people. Over 100,000 people are homeless from this storm. If you would like to help the poor people hit by this storm please contact the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. for information.
