Circuit Court Clerk

The circuit court clerk as many duties. They are the chief recording officer of each county and judicial Circuit Court . They are usually elected officials for a term of four years.

They are responsible for receiving recording and indexing deeds and mortgages. The clerk is a safe keeper for all certificates, certified copies of judgment , decree transcript , and many other legal documents brought before the court.

The clerk maintains a register, which has copies of subdivision plats, notice of Federal tax liens municipal tax liens, bail liens , bankruptcy orders and many more legal documents. . So when voting for a person seeking the circuit clerk position you must research that they have the qualifications to deal with the office. . This is a demanding and complicated position.
