If you are invited to a housewarming, bring a fine wine as a gift and your friend will be delighted. A good bottle of wine is always appropriate no matter what the occasion maybe. If you are buying from an experience wine connoisseur or from a novice, wine gifts are always good to give. Just bring a wine but, ask the wine clerk which one is appropriate for such occasion. If you are being invited to a dinner party, you would want to bring a wine that will complement the meal. A red wine will complement the meat such as a steak or prime rib and if it is a chicken or fish as the main entrée, you would probably prefer a white wine. One more thing to consider is the presentation of the wine by having it gift wrapped. Use a gift bag or maybe even a basket with cheese and crackers will be perfect.
If you throw a party, know your guest well and know exactly what type of wine they prefer if it is a red wine or a white wine and either sweet or dry. If you are confused then, trust your own taste. There are many good wines that are not expensive. A good rule to go by is staying within your budget. Just pick a wine that is in your price range and normally, you cannot go wrong when following this guide.
