Plastic and Spin Welding

I was watching a Filipino Channel and it was a game show where some of their entertainers visit to some places. It is their way of reaching out to their viewers. They will have games and participants are required to bring plastic bottles. I was wondering why they did that and later on, they showed plastic chairs. The more they collected plastic bottles, the greater number of plastic chairs that they can provide to hinterland schools. It was really impressive.

When they collect those garbage plastic bottles, they actually prevent waste of potentially useful materials. What are these useful materials?  Plastics, plastic bottles, newspapers, glass as well as metal and soda cans. People just throw them away and it goes to the landfill if they don't recycle. By collecting these useful materials, it will reduce air pollution and water pollution for sure. It will not clog the drainage therefore, flooding will be preventive too.

Machines such as plastic welding and spin welding are innovations that are essential to make the job done fast and easy. The spin welding is used because the frictional heat joins the two parts together. Have you noticed that some plastic container has nice upper part? Spin welding was used to it and you can't tell the difference. The plastic at the top is spun at high speeds against the plastic at the bottom. Innovations are great isn't it?

Church Volunteer

My wife took the time to fill up the Volunteer Form in our church. She really wanted to join the choir so; she signed for it. Back in her Elementary and High School years, she belongs to a church choir and she's an "Alto". She told me that she enjoyed the practice and serving during masses. Her favorite season is during Christmas. She loves carolling and they gave out letters to some parishioners and when they are welcome in the household, they provide an envelope for donation as well as the schedule and they sang Christmas Carols.

When she was in college in Xavier University, she auditioned for the Glee Club and she was in. Though the Glees are not singing in masses, she enjoyed being a member of the group. They traveled to different cities and did series of concerts. On Christmas Season, before the school breaks for the holiday, the Glee Club presents a Christmas Concert in the University. Those are her cherished memories and I can see her eyes twinkle when she shared those happy thoughts to me.

She traveled halfway around the globe and her heart yearn to serve in the church so; she volunteered and I tag along. Actually, for Tuesdays, we both volunteered to help the B-I-N-G-O initiated by the parishioners in the church. 

Oh, we had fun. Two volunteers did not show up today. They told us to sit on the table and sell cards. We were 7 manning the selling of different cards and we were able to adjust and get the flow very quickly. I enjoyed it and we met interesting people. Most of the frequent players knew everyone so; they said ... we are newbies and they welcome us. Next week, we will be there again.

Two Weeks After Hurricane Sandy

Florida is just lucky that Hurricane Sandy passes away from our state. Despite all that, our shoreline experienced the harsh blow of giant waves ... up to 12 ft high. We went to Mai Tiki Bar located at the end part (800 ft) of Cocoa Beach Pier just to witness the big waves as reported in the local news channel. We went all the way at the back of Mai Tiki Bar and as the waves slammed the pillars beneath the Pier, I could feel the place we stood at shaking. We stayed for 20 minutes and we were about more than 15 at the bar. It was raining when we left Mai Tai. Storm Sandy was nowhere near us. It was indeed a monstrous storm. 

We live 5 minutes away from Indian River and about 25 minutes away from the shoreline of Atlantic. If there is a storm like Sandy in the future, we will evacuate for sure. It's been 2 weeks since Sandy hit Staten Island New York and up to today, thousands still in the dark and no power. I pray that God will give them strength to hurdle this unfortunate event. I also hope that the local officials and the government will speed up the HELP that these people need.

I have a friend who loves sheepskin products. In fact, she had a huge sheepskin rugs in her bedroom and her living room. She also had accent pillows scattered in the house made of sheepskin. Don't get me wrong but, she loves animals. She just can't contain herself for having sheepskin products.

I am familiar with Toyota's Sports 800, 2000 GT and Corolla GTS in fact; we have it in the garage where I was working. The performance of these fast cars is impressive. Beautiful Bathroom Lights

My wife has her own private bathroom in the house. That was her request when we were planning to buy a new property. She got what she asked for and she calls it her personal bathroom oasis.

If they don't care such as WALMART, you will be in the mercy of the warranty company. It took me more than a week to contact them but, they told me to go find a company to fix it. With all the hassle? I won't be buying a lawnmower at Walmart! It's not worth all the hassle.

While watching the talking heads on the cable news analyze this killer and trying to figure out why he did it. I say to them who cares about him he is a murderer with no remorse let's treat him like one. My first suggestion would be put him in jail with the general population I think that would solve our problem and save us money on a trial it was reported he surrendered like a meek lamb. . I really wish he would have been shot down like a rabid dog the next best thing we can do in this situation is have a quick trial and executed the bastard , and forget about him.
